Reiki sessions can be utilized for general well-being or to focus on a specific area at any level—physically, spiritually, emotionally, or mentally. Many of my clients have described a Reiki treatment as a deep massage of the body, mind, and soul, all achieved without physical contact!
During your Reiki sessions, you will be asked about any areas causing physical pain, symptoms you are managing, emotional burdens, or if you prefer a general session for overall stress relief. We will concentrate on those areas, and I can also identify other regions that may need clearing and healing.
Throughout a session, you might experience sensations such as waves of heat or cold, a glowing energy, tingling, deep relaxation, or even nothing at all. Regardless of your sensations during the process, energy healing works effectively. The ultimate result is a reduction in pain across all levels and a profound sense of peace and calm.
Reiki helps release trapped emotional energy stored in your body. Sometimes, clients experience an emotional release during a session, expressing feelings such as crying, laughing, or releasing anger—this is healing in motion!
Stress attacks our body's weakest points, manifesting as physical and emotional pain. When we suppress our feelings, they can become trapped in our cells, causing pain and long-term health issues. Nerve cells, tissues, muscles, and organs can hold unresolved trauma and unexpressed emotions.
These pent-up emotions create blocks in the flow of oxygen throughout the body, leading to significant health challenges. For instance, if you often refrain from crying, you may suppress your heart and hold onto grief and pain. This can cause you to hold your breath, repeatedly shutting down your heart energy center, ultimately weakening the muscle and tissue of your heart over time, which may lead to chronic physical conditions.
Reiki works by channeling Universal Life Force energy (healing energy) to the areas of your body, mind, and spirit that require it. This energy healing releases stuck emotions from body tissues and our energetic system, increasing circulation and oxygenation in areas that need it, providing essential relief from toxins.
Reiki was defined around 1922 by Japanese teacher and healer Mikao Usui, who is believed to have rediscovered this ancient art of spiritual healing and began sharing it with others.
Recent scientific studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of Reiki in managing symptoms and promoting healing. The best approach to healing combines the advantages of Western medicine with the benefits of alternative therapies. How fortunate we are to have access to both!
Reiki can be performed with or without crystals, depending on your preference. If you are open to it, a Reiki session can sometimes facilitate a "spiritual download." You will be asked if you wish to include this in your session. Please note that I can only receive a psychic download if you are receptive; it is unethical to read someone unwilling to be read.
Keep in mind that, like all alternative healing modalities such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage, and physical therapy, not everything may be resolved in one session. Depending on the severity of the area needing attention, achieving optimal healing may take time.
